The original DFS Weihe was constructed in 1938 by H. Jacobs of the German Gliding Research Institute (DFS). The consecration was intended to surpass the Rhön eagle, which was very popular at the time. Incidentally, the surface profile was taken over by the heron. This model is a very beautiful laser cut wooden construction kit of the finest quality. (Acknowledgments Reference from scalesoaring.co.uk)
The model can be built either as a sailor or electric sailor. The installation of electric spoilers is possible at your own discretion.
The DFS Weihe 1/6.5 kit was included by AUFWIND magazine (1-2024)
